2 cups sourdough starter 1 pkg. Dry yeast 1/4 cup lukewarm water 2 cups cottage cheese 2 teaspoons salt
2 tablespoons dry onion-soup mix 2 eggs, slightly beaten 1/4 cup sugar 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/4
teaspoon dry mustard 5 to 6 cups all-purpose flour Measure out sourdough starter into a large mixing bowl.
Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water. Add to sourdough starter. Heat cottage cheese in a saucepan
until warm. Add salt, onion-soup mix, eggs, sugar, baking soda and mustard. Add to sourdough mixture.
Gradually add enough flour to make a soft dough. Place in a greased bowl, turning once. Cover
with a cloth. Set in warm place free from drafts and let rise for 1 to 2 hours or until doubled in size. Punch
down. Divide into 18 pieces and shape into balls. Place about 2 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet.
Flatten slightly. Bake at 350 for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 18 buns.
