leave cover loose

Then once a day for two weeks

After starter ferments for two weeks begin following steps

Ingredients:

Step two:

Add another can of peaches, and another can of crushed pineapple and 1 cup of sugar

Stir everyday for seven days

On 7th day add one cup of sugar and a can of pineapple chunks

Stir every day for 7 days.

Add one cup of sugar and a jar of maraschino cherries drained and cut in half

OPTIONAL

Add 1 cup of raisins chopped, prunes, dates or any fruit you desire with the jar of cherries well drained

Stir every day for seven days

Drain fruit in calendar and save the juice for future starter

While fruit is draining, mix in large bowl

12 eggs
2 cups cooking oil
3 yellow or white cake mixes
3 packages vanilla instant pudding
3 cups chopped nuts ( I like brazil nuts)

MIX WITH DRAINED FRUIT MIX

Grease small bread pans (I use foil pans)

Then sprinkle inside of pans with cinnamon and sugar

Pour batter into pans to fill about 2/3 full

Bake in preheated 350 degree oven 50 to 60 min. or till toothpick comes out dry

Directions:

Reserve 2 cups of starter liquid for yourself and divide the rest among friends

Refrigerate starter in a jar until you are ready to make another batch of friendship cakes.

It is not necessary to add yeast to starter, just start with step two.

You do not add any starter to the cake mix. It is simply to start the fruit mix.

Number of Servings:

About 8 medium sized loaf pan size cakes
