Fannie Mae Mint Cake

From the Kitchen of Brenda Flatt

1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 - 16 oz. can Hershey's chocolate syrup
1 cup +1 tbs. flour

Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla, syrup and flour.

Pour into un-greased 9x13 pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes (maybe less).

Beat together:

1/2 cup butter
2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp. mint extract green food coloring

Spread over cooled cake.

Refrigerate or place in freezer until cold.

Melt:
1 cup chocolate chips and spread over the cake, let cool
